PrintIQ Alternative - How Printlogic Compares to PrintIQ

PrintIQ is a cloud-based Print MIS with a strong presence in Australia and New Zealand. It is built for large commercial print operations and positions itself accordingly - the setup cost is significant, onboarding takes months, and the system is designed for businesses with complex, high-volume workflows. Printlogic covers the same core MIS functionality - estimating, job tracking, production, invoicing, Web2Print - on a monthly subscription with no contracts, no upfront fees, and onboarding that runs in days rather than months. This page compares both systems for print businesses evaluating their options, particularly in the ANZ market.

Where Printlogic wins

  • Free onboarding and training included - PrintIQ charges this separately
  • Suited to small and mid-size businesses - PrintIQ is built for large operations and priced accordingly
  • Free support included - no paid support tiers
  • Monthly subscription with no long-term contracts
  • Print broker management built in
  • Broader accounting integrations: Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, MYOB
  • Independently and privately owned

The Bottom Line

PrintIQ is a capable system for large commercial print operations in Australia and New Zealand that have the budget for substantial upfront investment and a months-long implementation. It earns its place at that end of the market. The problem is that most print businesses in the ANZ region are not large enterprises - they are small-to-mid-size shops that need a full-featured MIS without a six-figure setup bill and a three-month implementation project. Printlogic gives ANZ print businesses the same core workflow - estimating, job tracking, Web2Print, invoicing, MYOB integration - at a monthly subscription price, with onboarding measured in days and support included in the base cost. If you're a growing print business in Australia or New Zealand and PrintIQ's cost has ruled it out, Printlogic is the direct alternative worth evaluating.

A GREAT Print MIS - even if you don't use all the features!

I have tried a few systems and used Tharstern for 16+ years but for me, as a small print producer and consultancy, Print Logic is just great. It has saved me time and despite the few niggles and quirks, I use it all the time - couldn't be without it now!

PRINTLOGIC REVIEW
October 7, 2024
I have found the programme very easy to use. It exports the invoices into Sage, which helps with time management for our book keeper and eliminates the mistakes from manual entry. The reports are invaluable for marketing, so sales can see chase up quotes that have not been taken up, and chase clients who have not ordered for a certain period of time.
